Wellness Wednesday: Simple Self Care Night Routine
Continuing my Wellness Wednesday.. I wanted to include a night routine post because I feel like these are really beneficial and can boost your mood.
First, I like to prepare by either leaving my phone in another room or turn it on do not disturb and play some meditation or calming music! This really allows me to enjoy these moments to myself and limit distractions.
Next I will run a bath. This may include treating myself to a bath bomb or adding bubbles and Epsom salts. While the bath runs and fills, I will prepare my “extras”. The extra could be a glass of wine or a cup of tea. I like both.. it simply depends on the day and my mood; however both are great and very relaxing! In addition, I love to use a face mask during my bath. I’m truthfully not sure if they do anything (lol), but they’re relaxing!
I absolutely love candles and using them when I’m trying to relax. I’ll light a candle and pick up my current read and typically I’ll spend a half hour to forty five minutes in the bath.
Once I’m out, I like to lotion my body and wash my face. I use a PM moisturizer and a retinol oil on my face at night and I’ll apply this once my face has dried from washing it. To keep it simple, finish the night by crawling into bed and reading some more or turning on a feel good comfort show or movie!
